Madonna-that sneak!

Okay;
Now, raise hands-who DIDN'T know about the divorce rumors of Madonna and Guy Ritchie? I think every tabloid news agency certainly printed several dozen articles about the 'rumors', denied by all parties, that hovered since the end of last spring.
I, personally, cannot imagine that anybody was surprised by the admission to the press that the 2000 marriage, Madonna's second, was over. All that is left now is for the press to waggle their tongues and surmise over how much each party gets to keep in the dollars-and-cents department. Well guys, I am sure that there will be far more speculating than that!

And, as a postscript(p.s.), Kim Kardasian got the 'boot'{sic} off of DWTS this week. I just wanted to say thank you, Kim Dear, for your efforts. See you in the tabloids.

Ryan O'Neal and the cycle of abuse

And now we have these stories about Ryan O'Neal and his son being arrested for Methamphetamines. No, not the son shown here. This is Griffin, who recently came out about the dysfunctions of the family. Yeah, yeah, everybody's got to get into the act....I put this pic up because it makes the both of them look good.

And now we have the pictures that look like they might be mugshots. Although the both of them are still cute, Ryan's face looks like it has seen a few too many surgical knives as well as late nights. Let's get real, Ryan. Plastic surgery isn't going to hide your sins anymore, and your ego will kill you. Get brave and get help, including the medical you need for what obviously seems to be a serious mood disorder. Set an example for your kids, if nothing else. Or maybe you just don't think that way. Shame.
Why do I say this? Because I agree with Griffin O'Neal. I, too, came from an abusive family, and I, too, had to leave to stop the cycle. I have family members who don't talk to me as a result of my own recovery. But it's been worth it, every minute. The best of luck to you, Griffin.

Josh Brolin's bar fight and disinformation

Okay;
We have here Josh Brolin, from the 'Goonies'( our favorite film from the 80'S)fame...who apparently got involved somehow with a barfight in Shreveport, La. along with several other actors...This 40-year-old says he did nothing wrong....

Tell me, what DID he do?
I have read several articles already on this subject(People, OMG, Star), and not ONE had any details-not even the name of the bar. So tell me,
WHY WAS MY TIME WASTED?

Now, Josh, this has nothing to do with you. This has to do with the rabid hunger of tabloid journalism. They got my click, and my frustration..
So, for those of you who thrive on stories about disinformation, this is about NON-information. Or, as I like to call it, the yellow paper bait-and-switch. " No, I am not interested in Jamie Lynn Spears writing a note to tell Mom about her pregnancy. I didn't come to your site to read about the fast-food diet of the Brangelina clan. I came for information about this man. Shame on you for not having any!"
So, BE WARNED-even in the tech age, it's still the same, even if I hate wasting my time.

And Josh, if you see this, don't discount yourself. They just used your name for the clicks. That means you're popular.

saturday again without Barack Obama

I admit, I do not agree with this first picture, as I believe Mr. Obama is going after ALL of our votes-though I am no longer sure how...This man has changed his 'stance' on everything(almost), just like all the other runners in this campaign. Does it make him any different?

At this point in time, we've all seen enough of these candidates that, if we haven't already made a choice now, it's time to get put down for having no brains. I actually decided on Mr. Obama today because a hurricane in Texas was reason enough for Mr. Obama to cancel out on hosting Saturday Night Live-which is in New York City, about a thousand miles or so away....Did he think he'd get wet?

So, finally, in my short script, I will come clean and say that I DO like this man. I just don't like him falling inot the same politica'pit' as all th others. This last image is the one I like best...I hope he can live up to the image....

Roger Ebert and the Toronto incident

And here we have another incident blown out of proportion. Some silly fellow, not knowing who he was dealing with, whacked Roger Ebert with a program(or something similar) when Mr. Ebert was politely trying to get the man's attention. A small commotion and a change of seating ensued.

So before you know it, there's talk of security and beatings and etc., etc., so much so that Roger Ebert had to address the issue in his blog in an effort to keep all the hubbub down.
DID IT SUCCEED?
Well, if it did, then I wouldn't be talking about it here, now would I?
Let us GET REAL. Smacking someone who is tapping you on the shoulder to get your attention is not exactly what I would call appropriate behaviour... And what is this business about blocking Mr. Ebert's view, just to prove a point? Was this fellow raised in a barn?
Sorry. I get just as angry as anybody else when it looks as though one of our country's beloved icons gets bullied. You know how it is. You feel as though you personally have been spat at.
But vengeance can be a powerful thing. Just think, this is this fellow's fifteen minutes of fame....

Mea Culpas all around, Mr Ebert. We love you.

Borat still makes news

Sacha Baron Cohen-looks good, doesn't he? Is still getting a lot of press from his film 'Borat'. It seems people are still suing him for being in his film. A judge recently tossed out several suits against him by the driver's ed. teacher, the etiquette instructor, and those college boys from the film. Personally, I think these people need to grow up. So you thought it was a documentary, did you? Does it really matter if you get on film in a documentary fashion or in a Hollywood fashion? It's still film, isn't it?

My guess is that, because they ultimately looked silly, these folks sued. Being filmed had nothing to do with it. Hey, let's face it, I mean, look at reality TV. We all want stardom. Most don't really care how they get it-well, maybe, they do, if these folks have anything to say about it.
So Borat made good. Hopefully, Bruno will do well, too. I hear they're making a film on THAT character.

Welcome to the cult of celebrity, Bruno.

Brookslyn- the Mel Brooks fansite

Good Afternoon;
I just finished visiting what to me is a new site dedicated to the fans of Mel Brooks. It seemed new to me because I live here in San Francisco, and I am stunned that there weren't a lot more sites.

Now, Brookslyn loks like it is a great site-well-organised, lots of links to other fan sites, but, what I mean is, MEL BROOKS IS AN AMERICAN ICON.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound crazy there. But can anybody come up with a better description?
You tell me....
